My favorite critique of the new Formula 1 regulations is the engines are not loud enough. We need to hear the roar. The 1.6L V8 is a tiny baby of powerplant. My M10 is 1.8L four-cylinder and the only people who notice the engine noise at all are my neighbors when I spark it up 3:15am laying heavy on the gas to compensate for my dead WUR. As you may have guessed, the entire reason for this post is to casually compare my tired 1983 BMW 320i to the most elegantly engineered racing machines known to the multiverse. Maybe one day I can turbo Hans Gruber (the car's moniker). Doesn't matter. It's basically a muscle car now.
